Five months since my last post….
It’s not that the inspiration was gone as my life fuels my work. More that I got trapped in a whirlpool of stress and obsession. House hunting… spending all my time on rightmove, dissecting every floorplan, every Ofsted report, every street view… The house is found. Now the worst is to come… Solicitors, surveys, “pull outs”, “pull ins”…. and diazepam!
I have decided to use all that and work on my obsession and my stress. Hopefully it will relieve me. I have layered all the floor plans of the houses we visited to create a sensation of overflow of info and confusion. I will use that as a background to work on, either a drawing or adding a 3D molecule of diazepam made from ping pong balls like I did last year. The round shapes to compensate the harsh black lines… lovely metaphore.
