In 1998, Peggy Middlemiss graduated from the veterinary university of Maisons Alfort near Paris and has since been working as a vet. In 2014, she earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Essex and has since tried to combine both careers.
Her life consists in multitasking in a limited time, jumping from one activity to another because of contemporary social or personal pressures. This fuels her practice
Limitations are the necessary conditions of her work, be it time or materials. She has to make decision, prioritise, compromise, fragment. Inis lack of time led her to start working on immediately available materials like a table cloth, mail, or blood stained scrubs she works with. She is interested in the marks she leaves in her life, only evidence of time, and the materials she uses are full of them. Her approach is diaristic: she gathers, records little things, or important moments and composes pieces
